I had been contemplating if I should try out or not for this because the audition paper said you must be at within 5'1 - 5'7. I'm pretty sure I am 5'8 1/2 so I was like, why even bother. But my roommates Michelle and Courtney were persistent on going so I was like, "what the hay!". We woke up at 5:30 am to get all pampered and ready. I didn't want to look to dolled up because then they couldn't really tell who you would naturally look like, right? So I came in some capri's and a shirt I borrowed from Meesh. We took the bus and boy was it crowded! So many girls want to be princess'. We got in line, sat there for about 30 minutes. The auditions were beginning! We were brought into a room where we would be measured. I was thinking, "GGREEEEEEATTTTTTTTTTTT, i'll be kicked out even before I get to auditon!" So i had my hopes down :/ I get to the lady measuring and I tried to shrink myself somewhat, but she made me stand straight. She told me "67 inches, you're awesome!" I was like okay, thanks for giving me inches, i cant do the math! After 15 minutes of figuring it out, I end up being 5'7.....??? Great! But huh? So, they took girls by 50's into a room. I was number 83 so I was in the 2nd batch. After a few minutes we were called in. I was not nervous because likely hood of me getting any where was slim. Girls were saying oh you would be pochantas!
5 rows of 10, we were in the back. Line after line I was getting freaked. Standing right in front of one man. Court, Meesh, and I just smiled for like 5 minutes. I saw them writing things down and looking michelle up and down. I was excited for her! So then they said "If we call your number, stay in the room, if we don't, we simply do not have a character for you at this time." or something like that.
So just tweedling my thumbs....They called 67, then 82(Michelle), then whhhattttttt, 83! I was like double checking my number...
40 girls were picked out of the 406 that tried out. Me and Michelle were 2 of them!
So we had to do another round, same procedure. This time only 6 girls made it. We weren't either of them, but that's okay! I am still extremely happy that I tried out, and got somewhere! If it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't! And I would have a hard time leaving my job! I get to see the firework show every night, and work with the coolest people ever!
Peace & Blessings.
